Sinéad's Bedtime Routine

I've recently started a new job and while I am still settling into a new routine, there are some nights where I am so exhausted that I can barely be bothered to wash my face before falling into bed. In fact, I'll be honest, there were a few nights where I did just that and my skin was none to happy about it!

So, I've had to devise some kind of a bedtime system for my skin that is quick, easy and keeps my skin clear and, hopefully, healthy looking. Here's what is currently working for me.

Lush Dream Cream: As the weather is getting colder and central heating is being switched on, my eczema is starting to act up and Dream Cream has been working wonders at keeping it moisturised and itch-free. I apply it just before I go to bed and allow it to soak in and work its magic over night.

Lush Angels on Bare Skin: Another Lush favourite, Angels on Bare Skin is the perfect night time cleanser as it both removes make-up and  gently exfoliates making sure there is no build-up or grime left in pores.

Lush Skin Drink: I'm only trialling this moisturiser at the moment but, so far I am loving it. It's extremely rehydrating as the pot says and is great for night time as it is quite thick and takes awhile to sink in meaning you wake up with lovely plump, smooth skin.

Nuxe Contour des Yeux Prodigieux: I love this eye cream. It's a gel-base and it plumps and wakes the eye area and ensures that I wake up in the morning looking less tired than I may feel.

Johnson's Lip Care Moon Care: I cannot go to sleep without putting some kind of balm on my lips. I know, I know, I'm a freak. I picked this up randomly one day last summer and recently rediscovered it and love it. It stays on all night and really gives a deep-treatment to your lips.

Do you have a bedtime skin routine?

  1. I love Angels on Bare Skin and Skin Drink is one of my fav moisturisers for winter.

I used to love Dream Cream but it stopped having any effect on my skin at all sometime last year. Just as well really cos I would have had to stop using it anyway since it's oat milk based.

I love the sound of the Nuxe eye cream and the Johnsons lip balm (I always apply lip balm at night too).

My current bedtime routine consists of: Kinvara Skincare Cleansing Oil, Lush Eau Roma Water Toner, Kinvara Skincare Rosehip Serum, Vichy Aqualia Thermal Rich Moisturiser, Benefit It's Potent Eye Cream and Blistex Intensive Moisturiser. On my body I'm currently using Bio Oil and the Veet Hair Minimising Lotion.

Phew, it sounds a lot when I list it all like that.

  5. Not seen the Johnson's Moon Care before, looks quite interesting. I am addicted to lip balm and am always on the look out for new ones for my collection!
