No7 Autumn Modern Minimal Collection

No7 Autumn Modern Minimal Collection is a simple, classic and chic collection from the Boots brand that centers around hues of pinks, bronzes, nudes and greys and aims to give a catwalk-inspired "no make-up" look.

No7's Creative Consultant, superstar make-up artist (and, arguably, our favourite YouTuber!) Lisa Eldridge took inspiration from the Autumn/Winter shows to create a minimalistic, chic range of products that enhances the wear's natural beauty. The range seems quite well rounded and includes primer, cheek stain, eye colours and eye pencils, all of which are extremely limited edition as the collection is only available in Boots stores until 4th October.

We got a few of the products to play around with and are here with some pictures and swatches for your viewing pleasure!

The Limited Edition Lip and Cheek (€16.45 8g) is a multi-purpose stick which can be used for contouring, highlighting, blush, lips, whatever-takes-yer-fancy basically! It comes in two shades which are said to complement natural skintones. Bronze Tint works for darker skintones while Pink Tint suits us fair lassies.

We got Pink Tint to test out and, it's honestly a more of warm coral-orange than a pink. Think along the lines of it being NARS Orgasm's more ginger cousin (I can say that coz I am ginger!).

I do love these coral shades for Autumn and, this suits my trés-pale skin perfectly. The finish is dewy and shimmery as opposed to being glittery which I appreciate. The swatch below is pretty true to life to give you an idea of finish and shade.

Neutral tones are the crux of this collection and the Limited Edition Eye Colours (€12.95 3ml) are as punchy as neutral tones can get. Richly pigmented, smooth as butter with a slight metallic finish, these liquid shadows are definitely something worth investigating.

There are two shades; Buff, a seemingly champagne nude, and Pewter, a dirty greyed taupe. Pewter is swatched below and is a relatively accurate representation of the shade, though perhaps it tips towards the more taupe end of the scale in real life. I think it's fairly obvious how pigmented these are but, it will be interesting to see how they wear as they are a liquid eye colour and a primer could, arguably, further increase the viscosity of them.

Brightening and defining the eyes seems to be the order of the day with the Limited Edition Double-Ended Pencils (€12.35) in this collection. The pencils come in two shades; Mid Brown-Ivory (below) and Dark Brown-Ivory, with the ivory used to line the waterline and open up the eye while the brown can be used to define the upper and lower lashline. No7 claim that these are waterproof, non-crease liners and, if that's the case, they would be a necessity to brave the rainy, snowy season ahead!

The collection also has a Limited Edition Stay Perfect Primer (€14.50 20ml) which promises to minimise pores and provide all-day wear. Burdock extract prevents spots, Vitamin E conditions the skin which microsponges are set to work to balance oil production. On paper this sounds like a pretty heavy-duty primer so, I would be interested to hear if any of you have tried it out!

  1. That lip & cheek tint has caught my eye big time, it looks gorgeous.

  2. I always give my No.7 vouchers to my Mum, never really bother to look at their stuff - but I'll have a look on Friday, didn't realise their stuff was this nice!! LOVE that pewter eye colour, absolutely gorgeous. Thanks girls :)
