Today I have a little haul of stuff I've accumulated lately and just had to share. As well as feeding my newly-developed Inglot habit with a lipstick and duo-fibre brush, I also popped into MAC to have a look at the new counter. It's a lot more spacious and easier to browse, which resulted in an impromptu purchase, of course: I got myself a 217 brush and a Pro Longwear lipcreme in Love Forever. Finally, I nipped into Boots and stocked up on Ardell lashes, which are my all-time favourites. Read on for a closer look at what I got, starting with the lippies!
Inglot 117, MAC Love Forever
If you've read this blog for any amount of time, you'll know that I'm a massive fan of bright lip colours and rarely stray from them. However, I've been on the hunt for a decent nude-ish colour that I could pair with a really intense smokey eye. As my lips are naturally very pigmented, I went for a matte shade from Inglot that has quite a bit of peach/pink in it to keep me from looking dead. I'll let you know how I get on with this one, but I love it so far!
I also bought my first ever Pro Longwear lipstick from MAC, and, predictably, went for the loudest colour I could find. Love Forever (great name!) is a perfect bright pink that lasts and lasts. I don't know why more fuss isn't made over this line of lipsticks - the staying power is second to none and it didn't dry my lips at all. I'll be picking up another one of these for sure!
Here's a close-up of the lashes I got - Ardell are my favourite brand that I've tried so far, as I think they're the easiest to re-use. I usually get the Demi Wispies, but opted for these fuller ones for a change Can't wait to wear them.
Finally, the brushes! The 217 is probably one of the most famous MAC brushes, and I'm so happy to finally have it again after losing one last year! I also picked up the Inglot 2710G duo-fibre brush, which feels amazing - I'll keep you posted on how I get on with it!
