As soon as I was sent this tub, I think I knew I'd love it. The idea of a hand 'butter' as opposed to a good old hand cream is a new one of me, but I can tell you that it is definitely a good one.
The first thing that hit me about this stuff was the smell - in a good way. It truly smells of roses - it brought me back to making my own 'perfume' as a child with rose petals and a jar of water (I was easily pleased).
It's a truly gorgeous scent that isn't too overpowering, so 10/10 on that front.
The texture of the cream is pretty much like a body butter. As it soaks into the skin, the oils (rosehip and Brazil nut) become more apparent. It doesnt't dissolve immediately, but doesn't leave the skin feeling horribly greasy either. I'd describe the residue as a film that doesn't really bother me, as I think it helps to moisturise the skin further, especially the cuticles.
The product is supposed to be, according to the label, for 'mature skin', but anyone could use this and reap the benefits. Hand cream is essential no matter what age you are, and the more that you look after your skin, the more you will thank yourself in years to come! Hands are often a tell-tale sign of a woman's real age (just look at Madonna's veiny claws), so they are well worth keeping an eye on.
Madge could clearly do with a dose of this stuff
You get a really decent amount ( 100ml) in the tub, which is very pretty itself, and I can see this lasting me ages. I've also slathered this on my hands and elbows after applying fake tan to insure myself against streaking, and it worked a charm! I've been keeping it beside my bed and using it a couple of times a day, which my hands are very happy about. Overall? A great buy, and something I'd buy again.
