Autumn Nails

I'm not one for playing by the rules when it comes to make-up; darks are not just for winter and you absolutely can wear yellow nail varnish when the sun's not shining. However, I do like to get in the spirit of the seasons and, at times, reflect them in my make-up.

Nails are a really easy way to do this without being too OTT and, I thought I would show you some of my top picks for Autumn 2011 (These do NOT include Chanel Peridot, Graphite or Quartz;naturally they are tiptop for this season!). If you are unsure about how to choose seasonal shades, just think of the colours you associate with spring, summer, autumn and winter and, after that, just go with what you feel like!

When I think of autumn, I think of the colours of the changed leaves as well as murky, greyed out shades. I pulled from my collection, which I will be doing an overview of soon, the nail polishes which most resemble my idea of autumn!

Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure (L-R): Mudslide, Boca Mocha, Haute Chocolate, Commander in Chic and Gray by Gray

L-R: Mudslide (the perfect warm nude for autumn!), Boca Mocha, Haute Chocolate, Commander in Chic and Gray by Gray

Random (L-R): Essie Sew Psyched, Chanel Paradoxal, Chanel Particuliere, OPI Rising Star and OPI Russian Navy

L-R: Sew Psyched, Paradoxal, Particuliere, Rising Star and Russian Navy

Do any of you guys like to keep your make-up seasonal?
Love,

  3. I really like these kind of colours and wear them all year round not just for autumn/winter.
