August Glossybox (Spoiler Alert!)

A little while back, we were delighted to hear that Glossybox are now shipping to the Republic of Ireland. They contacted us offering us a free August box to sample the service, and we accepted. I was a little wary at first as some of the past boxes weren't too well received, but decided to keep an open mind and go for it.

Most of you will be familiar with the concept, but just in case, here's a quick run-through. Glossybox is a subscription service that costs £12.95 per month. For your money, you get five samples of beauty products (one is usually full-sized) packaged in this cute box:

Read on to see what's inside!

As you can see, everything comes beautifully packaged, and tied up with a cute little ribbon. There was also a card detailing all of the products included in this month's box:

I have to say, I was pretty impressed with this month's swag. The five products are:

Murad Time Release Blemish Cleanser
AHAVA Mineral Body Lotion
Daniel Sandler Jumbo Jet Mascara
KMS California Colorvitality Shine & Shield
Rebel Nails Nail Wraps

Pretty decent, no? The hair protectant is a really decent size and looks excellent. As I only received  the box today, I've only tried the body lotion so far, and it's excellent. The smell is fresh and the texture is just right. You are also given discount codes should you wish to repurchase anything, which is another nice touch.

So what's the initial verdict? I really like it, and was suprised that I did. The box itself is a joy to open and, if you can afford it, is a really nice monthly present to yourself. Would I subscribe? Yes, if I can afford it, I definitely will sooner or later. It is still a bit of a gamble, but sure that's life (I sound like my Mam now...you get what I mean!). The service is available to ROI customers starting with next month's box.

Is this something that would interest you guys?

Love,
D x
