I'd like to see you all do this post as it is so helpful to see what everyone else recommends for the change in climate!
1. Lip Product
This product only came into my possession recently but, I can see it becoming a summer staple because it is so moisturising. Avon Moisture Rich lipstick is a balm and a lip colour in one. As someone who regularly needs to be pried away from her lipstick, this is perfect for me as it is still super hydrating while providing the colour, intensity and finish of a lipstick.
This is a tough one for me to choose as I am almost as manic about blush as I am about lipstick but, if I have to choose just one summer blush, it would have to be MAC's Dollymix. This is a really bright pink which brightens up any look though, a light hand is advisable! The fact that this is a powder blush is a perk as it won't slip and slide like a cream blush will if you get oily or sweat at all and it will last that bit longer in the summer heat.
3. Nail Polish
China Glaze Pink Voltage- a true neon pink!
4. Liquid Face Product
The only occasion during the summer I would really wear a liquid face product would be at night and, generally, it would be the Stila Illuminating Tinted Moisturiser. I have raved about this numerous times on this website. It gives just enough coverage and provides a dewy, healthy glow to the skin while also boasting an SPF of 15.
5. Powder Face Product
My powder product year round is MAC Mineralize Skinfinish Natural. This would be what I wear on a daily basis during the summer to keep the shine at bay. It's a wonderful setting powder and I just use it along my T-Zone so that there is no ugly disco ball effect from my forehead!
6. Hair Product
I don't use much product on my hair as it stands, and summer is no different. However, one hair product I love year round and especially in summer is the Revlon Equave 2 Phase Hydro Nutritive Conditioner. This post-wash spray-in conditioner is brilliant for the summer sun and chlorine pools as it keeps your hair super soft and prevents damage, breaking and dryness. It also smells amazing!
7. Eye Product
In the summer, I become so low-maintenance it's unbelievable. I just like to have a relaxed, calm vibe about me and that means no unnecessary fuss. As a result, my only must-have eye product for the summer is mascara. This year my choice is CoverGirl Lash Blast Volume.
8. Tanning Item
I'm really not a big false tanner, even in summer. It looks unnatural and it's just easier (see low-maintenance note above) to embrace the freckles and the healthy glow the sun gives me. However, I have been consistently impressed with the Xen-Tan Transform Luxe Gradual Tanner as it is relatively no hassle so, that'll probably be my tanning safety net this summer if needs be!
My accessory of choice has to be sunglasses. I love them because they just enable my relaxed nature in the summer in that I can just throw them on and not worry about make-up. In general, the bigger the sunnies are the better. I currently have three pairs on the go, a pair of Ray Ban Aviators (which are too big and need to be sized), another pair of Ray Bans and, my ultimate favourite, a pair of huge purple Marc by Marc Jacobs shades (pictured). If I come into money, I will probably pick up a Chanel pair this summer.
10. Clothing Piece
Sandals are my clothing item of choice for the summer. I wear them with everything and find that you can make your normal clothes summery, especially in chilly Ireland, with just the addition of a cute flat sandal. I tend to buy one pair every summer and, last year's one's are my current favourite. They are a woven metallic silver and cream pair by Guess and I bought them in Brown Thomas in Galway.
