The Love of My Life?!

I'm in the middle of an extreme anti-men phase at the moment. After much discussion with my extremely wise Granny, we have concluded that they are very much in decline in terms of quality.

So no, the Love of My Life is not male, or even human for that matter. So by process of elimination, you may have deduced by now that it is, of course, a lipstick!

Chanel Rouge Allure Lacque in Dragon

What can I say, I've been lusting after this ever since I saw this post on Lollipop26's blog (on a side note, hands up who's delighted that she's back? Woop!).

It's a liquid lipstick encased in the most gorgeous black and gold packaging. The formula is divine, it applies like a dream and wears off totally evenly. That's not to say that it doesn't last - it survived all the way through a dinner and fashion show the other night!

Obligatory (if messy) swatch...

As you can see from the swatch, it's a super-pigmented, deep shade of red. If I am to be really cringey and poetic, I'd say that this has a touch of old Hollywood glamour about it. To sum up, it's bloody divine and at least 5x better than my former favourite red, MAC Russian Red. Buy. It.

Gratuitous photo of me wearing said lipstick

  1. That looks beautiful. I'm super impressed that it lasted through dinner, I always come a cropper on that front!! How much was it? I might need to save my pennies. x

  2. It was €30 but worth every penny, and I very rarely say that! I'm saving for this one now xx

  3. I'm so jealous of your mouth! I've got tiny little lips :(
I think I'll give it a go when I lift my spending ban x

  4. That colour looks beautiful, so tempted to get it

  5. Dragon is one of my firm favourites & also the first red lippie I ever bought, great shade & formula.
