Sinéad's May Favourites

Another month over. Can't say I mind to be honest! May was a good month though, especially beauty-wise. I got the opportunity to try a lot of new products and I'm really grateful for that as I have found some that have definitely become mainstays in my beauty collection.

First up is a favourite from April that is still a favourite for May- The Body Shop Body Butter Duo. I LOVE this stuff as you can probably tell by how much I have used! I was always a fan of The Body Shop's regular body butters but, this is just amazing. So moisturising and hydrating you can't really go wrong. I have a full review of it here if you want to know more!

This has been my favourite cheek combination for the month of May. I am really trying to use up some of the make-up that I have before I go and buy more and these are just two of the products on my hit list! Aside from that though, since I have begun placement, I am back to 5-minute morning make-up and this combination of MAC Bronzing Powder in Refined Golden and MAC Blushcreme in Ladyblush have provided the perfect, quick summer glow that makes me look relatively alive at 7am!

I have been loving the Sigma F80 Flat Top Kabuki I won on Karen's blog. Though I don't wear foundation on a daily, or even a regular, basis, when I do, this gives the most beautiful airbrushed effect and makes my skin look entirely flawless.

Skincare-wise, I've really been enjoying my Trilogy Rosehip Oil. I got it in the hope it would help with eczema scars and, while I haven't noticed much of a change in their appearance, it has been the most amazing face moisturiser. Two drops spread all over your face before bedtime will have you waking up with the softest skin  imaginable. The woman in the chemist said that this is even perfect for oily skins, despite the fact that it is an oil.

I was so excited to receive the Covergirl Lash Blast Volume mascara from my aunty when she came back from America as it is so
incredibly hyped up on YouTube and beauty blogs. Happily, the hype is true and this mascara is one of the best if not the best I have ever tried. Super black, lengthening and separating, it's everything I ask for in a mascara. Though we can't get Covergirl here, you can order it (along with other brands like Physicians Formula) from Drugstore.com or you can buy the Max Factor False Lash Effect mascara which is the exact same thing- wand, packaging, formula, even if it is rather a bit more expensive!

You probably could have guessed this next favourite based on the number of posts we have already given the product (here and here). It is the Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure line of nail polish, due to launch her in June. These are probably some of the best nail polishes we have ever tried and, personally, I will say that these have replaced my obsession for OPI. A full and final review of the line will be up soon so keep an eye out for that. In the meantime, you can enter our giveaway to win three polishes from the line, before they are even released!

Tying in closely with the previous favourite is the Sally Hansen Insta-Dry Anti-Chip Topcoat. This makes your nails touch-dry in about 30seconds, seriously speeding up the manicure process and makes nail varnish last, chip-free and remaining shiny for upwards of 5 days. Pretty much obsessed!

Finally, I have a very special favourite for the month of May. The website has been doing so, so well over the last number of months but, especially in this month and we are so thankful to each and every one of you for your continuing support and for wanting to read our beauty babble because we so love writing it. Viva Adonis has come further than we ever expected it would in six months and, for that, you readers are one of my May Favourites!

Love,

S x
