Sinéad's April Favourites
Anyways, I finished my thesis last night and it's all printed and waiting to be bound so, here are my slightly belated April Favourites!
Still loving my lippies and none more so this month than MAC Candy Yum-Yum. Never in a million years would I have considered donning a matte neon pink lipstick but, I am obsessed with this colour (as evidenced here, here and here). Even my lovely dad told me he liked it on me!
As I've mentioned before, I am on a quest for the perfect nude nail polish. Preferably something with no shimmer and quite creamy and opaque but, I'm open to all! So far, these are my acquisitions, all of which I am loving though, I will say I am disappointed with how badly the Catrice offering wears.
Still on the topic of nails, I have been loving the new combination of base and topcoat. It survived a week under the rigorous testing conditions of Operation OPI and my nails feel stronger, harder and healthier. The new holy trio of nails are OPI Nail Envy as a base, OPI Top Coat and OPI Drip Dry to finish. No smudges, chips or sheet prints- amazing!
I reviewed the new Body Butter Duo from The Body Shop earlier this month and I have been using it religiously since I received it. My skin looks and feels really good which is great for the summer months. I also received a sample of the macadamia scented Duo at the Honey Bronze launch last week and have taken to carrying the two little sample pots around with me in case my eczema flares up. Also, it smells amazing!
I've featured this in a favourites before so I won't drone on about it but, Revlon Equave 2 Phase is amazing. It's the only product I use on my hair aside from shampoo and conditioner. I use it as a detangler/leave in conditioner and it smells amazing too. Really want to pick up the shampoo and conditioner from this line as well.
Books have been my savior throughout this thesis process, as has guilty pleasure TV. My favourite books this month have been finishing both the House of Night and Pretty Little Liars series and I am currently reading Kathy Reich's newest book, Mortal Remains. TV-wise, my sister's and I settle in every Thursday to watch Pretty Little Liars and Hellcats on MTV...total mind-numbing bliss!
