Review: Johnsons Daily Essentials Eye Make-Up Remover

You might remember a while back I picked up a bottle of Johnsons Daily Essentials Eye Make-Up Remover in Penneys.

I had been hankering after this one for awhile, eager to try an oil-based remover but, not willing to pay the prices Lancome or MAC were asking.

Most chemists and shops stock this for around the €5-€6 mark but, when I saw it in Penneys for a more favourable €2.25, I snapped it up.

To cut a long story very short, I love, love, love this product. You shake it up, soak a cotton pad with it and press it to your eye. After holding it for about 10 seconds, you swipe it off your eye in one motion and, literally, there is hardly any make-up left afterwards.

It's also brilliant at removing mascara. Usually I have to scrub at my lashes to ensure I don't wake up with panda eyes but, this just seems to soften and melt the mascara onto the pad and, a final swipe with the clean side ensures that none is left flaking onto your skin as you sleep.

I also feel as though the formulation is quite moisturising to both my skin and my lashes which is a definite plus.

If I could give this product more than two thumbs up, I definitely would! Will definitely be re-purchasing this time and time again!

Love,

S x

  1. Brilliant! I've been on the lookout for a decent oil based remover to get rid of all the gunk I wear! Was also avoiding having to re-purchase Lancome because of the €€€ x

  2. Same boat as me so! This is definitely worth it, even if you can't find in Penneys and have to shell out the fiver for it! x
