I've been more than a bit broke for the last while, so I haven't been buying that much makeup. The majority of these products are either affordable things that I picked up, or else stuff I had lying around that I ended up relying on!
17 Blusher in First Flush I was slightly dubious about this as 17 isn't really a brand that I would gravitate towards, but I've been pleasantly suprised. It's a matte, almost luminous coral pink that gives a suprisingly natural, healthy flush to the face.
Revlon Lipstick in Fire & Ice Oh. My. God. I'm completely obsessed with this shade, it's one of those lipsticks that instantly makes you feel special. Formula-wise, this lipstick is creamy without compromising itself in terms of longevity. The packaging is also nice and classic, very 1950s Hollywood.
Natural Collection Loose Powder I've been running out of decent powder recently and decided to try this out as a quick, cheap fix. At €2.99 it was worth a try and I've been pleasantly suprised. This works perfectly on my skin for taking care of excess oil - not quite as amazing as Clinique Loose Powder, but certainly up there!
Neutrogena Hydrating Spot Treatment I'm in two minds about this stuff. I'm not exactly sure how effective it is, but it makes a fantastic smoothing primer! I don't think it made a major difference to the condition of my skin but it is a nice product to use before applying make-up. The scent is also really nice and fresh - quite cucumber-y!
Soap & Glory Mist You Madly Body Spray I always carry this in my bag rather than lugging around an expensive perfume, especially on nights out when I am prone to losing things!
Rimmel East End Snob Lip Liner I actually used an entire stick of this infamous shade up which is proof enough that this is a great everyday lip liner. Goes beautifully well with MAC Angel lipstick. I really like it because it neutralises the natural redness of my lips for days when I don't want them to be too overpowering.
Wow Brown Tan Sinéad has already given an in-depth review of this tan, and it really is great. I don't use tan much but this has me converted to applying it every weekend. It wears so well and doesn't stink like a lot of tans I've tried in the past. I have confess, though, that when I finish this bottle I'll be back to using the cheap and cheerful St Moritz, as I simply could not afford to repurchase something that is only marginally better.
YouTube: I'm as addicted as ever to watching beauty and fashion channels on YouTube, and Beautycrush has to be my latest favourite. She is already quite popular so I don't know how I hadn't heard of her already, but I absolutely love her videos! Her style and taste is right up my street. Definitely worth checking out.
TV - The Model Agency has been my favourite programme for the last month or so - I'm so sad it's over now! It's basically a reality show about Premier model agency, which is one of the biggest in London having represented (and subsequently sued) Naomi Campbell. It's the most realistic, entertaining and seemingly accurate show I've seen on TV about the fashion industry. You can still watch all the episodes on 4oD.
That's all for now - more posts coming from me ASAP! :)
