Review: MUA Eyeshadows

I first heard about these eyeshadows over on the lovely Karen's blog and have been dying to give them a try ever since. MUA is a range that, as far as I know, is only available in Superdrug. Everything from the range is €1.20 so I figured that even if they were only mediocre they were still well worth a shot.

L-R: Shade 3, Shade 12, Shade 11.

I have to say that I am pretty impressed with the quality of these shadows. I deliberately chose three shimmery shades, as the matte ones were a lot chalkier and much less pigmented. These swatched really well:

I did a quick eye look this morning using all three shadows, with Benefit Creaseless Cream Shadow in Birthday Suit as a base. I honestly wouldn't even bother using these without a decent base - the cream shadow gave them something to adhere to and also minimised fallout. Having said that I really don't think there was a lot of fallout to begin with, which is amazing for €1.20! They lasted pretty well but again I would put that down to the base. I also used Urban Decay 24/7 Eyeliner in Zero on the waterline and upper lash line, and smudged a little bit of Carbon by MAC on top of that.

Overall, you can't go wrong with these for only €1.20!
