Sinéad's January Favourites

I cannot believe it is coming up to the end of January! In some ways I am glad because I have been so broke and stressed with college this month but, in other ways I want the year to slow down so I don't have to finish college and go out into the big bad world!! Because I have been so busy with college I have not had much need/time for make-up. That being said, there are still a few products I have been loving this month!

I bought this little bottle of YSL Parisienne on holidays last summer along with Viktor and Rolf Flowerbomb and Miss Dior Cherie L'eau. With that many new perfumes, it is no wonder that one fell to the wayside. I rediscovered it when I grabbed it and sprayed it by accident and I absolutely love it.

I am  absolutely rubbish at describing scents but this one is light and fresh and fruity without being overpowering.

Up next is the MAC 187 brush. I have had this duo-fiber brush for ages and it has been used for everything from foundation to bronzer to cream highlighters and blushes. However, a post on beaut.ie inspired me to try it with powder blush and I love it!

It provides a really natural, airbrushed effect and it means that even the heaviest and darkest of blushes can be used on a daily basis. Win!

I have already done a post raving about this GOSH Cosmetics nail varnish in Holographic so I won't dwell on it here. But, needless to say it is a beauty. Super unique, totally mesmerizing...it is easy to see how it is so hard to come by!

This is kind of a boring favourite but it is totally worthy of the honour. Chapstick Medicated Gel is probably one of the best chapped lip treatments I have ever come across. It gives a burning sensation once applied but this quickly turns to a cooling relief. It also contains cocoa butter which makes it really moisturising. And it is a steal at about €3.50!

L'Occitane Shea Butter Gentle Face Buff was a present from my lovely boyfriend during the summer. It has been a real treat for my sore, dry winter skin. It is a clay-esque mask which you apply to your face for about 5 minutes and let harden. Then you rub the solidified mask to remove it and it peels off, exfoliating your skin and leaving you with a super soft and nice smelling face!

The first of two lipstick-loves this month is MAC Pro Longwear Lip Creme in Till Tomorrow. I am obsessed with this formulation. It is super creamy and moisturising yet somehow managing to hold up and stain your lips for a good number of hours (not sure if it is quite the 12 hours MAC claim though!). This colour is particularly lovely as it it just slightly darker than my natural lip colour but can be built up to a really rich red-brown and so is great for pottering around during the day or going out at night.

My final favourite is MAC Up the Amp lipstick. I got this as part of a Back to MAC last month I think and I really love it. It's a lot more of a deeper purpley pink than it is coming out in this picture and is something I never thought I could pull off but have been wearing non-stop this month. It's kinda vampy and fun all at the same time!

Love,

S.
