I don't know what came over me with this eye look as it is not something I would normally instinctively do! Yet here I found myself with an urge to put blue eyeshadow all over my lid and smoke it out...odd! I quite like how it turned out and, while I would never wear it during the day, as a night look it's lovely. I paired it with a neutral lip (MAC Honeylove lipstick with Girl's Delight Dazzleglass!).

I've raved before about how obsessed I am with foundation. As someone with less-than-perfect skin, a good base is essential for me. I look for foundations that suit my oily/combination skin and last as long as humanly possible, while still looking as natural and glowy as possible. This is definitely a tall order but I have a few that I really love and will continue to repurchase - while also looking out for new favourites, of course!

- Chanel Particuliére: This is a gorgeous creamy, taupe that has one of the nicest formulas I have ever come across. It it suitable for all year round and any occasion.
- OPI Rising Star: A new addition but a quick and firm favourite. This is like a metallic amber that is the closest I have ever seen a nail polish coming to a Minx manicure.
- Barry M Navy: Such a stunningly rich navy blue. It has a goregous sheen whilst still looking super sophisticated. It's really pigmented for being so cheap!
- OPI Bring on the Bling: We're crazy about gaudy, glittery nails here at Viva Adonis and this gold offering from OPI's Burlesque collection is right up my street!
- Models Own Juicy Jules: Again, another glittery polish! This time its a silver and it is the most amazing addition to even the most boring nail polish.
- Chanel Vendetta: This is a really beautiful rich purple with a lovely duochrome. The staying power isn't great but, for a special occasion, it is so lovely.
I called this look Blue Steel because while it is just a simple silver/grey/black smokey eye, I used a royal blue eye shadow all over the crease area so, when the light catches it, it shines blue. The effect is really lovely and makes a standard smokey eye a little bit different! The blue is really evident in the pictures with no flash after the jump.

For years and years I never bothered to fill them in, they weren't that fair and I never knew what to use.

I have no camera at the moment because my daddy is off to Boston tomorrow and apparently needs it more that I do! So in lieu of a post that requires a lot of photography I thought I would self-indulge and talk about me, myself and my hair.

For anyone who suffers with it, eczema can be really debilitating. Not only does it look unsightly but, it can hurt and itch like no tomorrow. When I was a baby I had standard juvenile eczema in the creases of my arms and legs but, that eventually went away. However, about three years ago, my eczema came back with a vengeance as random splotches all over my lower legs. After much trial and error, I have found a few unconventional methods that really seem to help reduce the dryness, itching, peeling and scarring and, while I am aware this doesn't affect everyone, I thought I would share them in case some of you are fellow sufferers!

I am currently in the midst of studying for an exam and, in an effort to cheer myself up, I painted my nails an obnoxiously brilliant pink with silver glitter. It makes me happy to look at and distracts me from the boringness that is European Integration!! The pink is GOSH Cosmetics Sweet Rose and the glitter is Models Own Juicy Jules!

So, tomorrow night I am going to my boyfriend's brother's Surprise 30th Birthday Party. I probably won't have time to take pictures of my make-up then so I thought I would do up one of my eyes now to show you what my eyeshadow will be like!
Wow, wow, wow, wow, wow! I am absolutely mesmerised by this nail varnish, no wonder it is so hard to find! I have a couple of pictures included because none of them fully do it justice! It was a bit hard to work with at first as it kept separating on my nails but, then I realised it was my base coat and so removed that and hey presto. No top coat either, ruins the holographic-effect!
Finally I have a nice neutral NOTD to show you. I love this colour so much, it is a simple nude beige with a hint of a pink undertone which makes it really flattering for my skintone. I used my usual top and base coats with this: Sally Hansen Double Duty and Mirror Shine.

Basically, this eye look came about one night when I forgot I was supposed to be going out for dinner at had literally 15 minutes to get ready. I usually love to faff about with my eye make-up as I really enjoy doing it but, obviously I didn't have time this particular night. And so, the 3-Minute Night Time Eye was born! It can be done with any mix of colours just using the same technique.

So I should be writing an essay but here I am, taking pictures of my eyes and almost blinding myself with the flash in the process. Normal behaviour, I'm sure you'll agree.

I have been using it since I got it and, I can honestly say, I love it!

My second NOTD is another ridiculously glittery pink, which I am making no apologies for! This may be way too tacky for some, but personally I love it! The camera doesn't even do justice to the fuschia glitteryness of this in real life. I applied three thin coats of Flamingo followed by two of Magic Star. I really like GOSH polishes, this is wearing well (the picture was taken after one day's wear).

So it's January and we're all broke. I'm trying to avoid buying too many cosmetics at the moment especially because I am in dire need of some new clothes! So I thought I'd show you two products that I've had for a while but have been loving this week.

Just a quick update to let you all know that I am going to be starting my own variation of Project 10 Pan- Project 6 Pan but, with all MAC products. I have way too much MAC at the moment and, while I don't apologise for that, I am aware that some stuff gets pushed to the wayside in favour of new finds. So, in the interest of showing my older products some love before they go past their use-by dates and, also in the interest of clearing out a bit, I will be using up the following products with the aim of Back to MAC-ing and getting a new lippie...makes sense right?! ;)
- Opulash Mascara
- MSFN Light
- Prrr Lipglass
- Cherry Blossom Lipglass
- Pearl Cream Colour Base
- Prep+Prime Face
I'll keep you updated on my progress but I imagine it will take some time to accomplish this! Wish me luck!

Spotted this yesterday in Boots and just HAD to buy it seeing as it is so pretty plus it was the only one left! The colour really speaks for itself - an amazing shimmery pink that I can't stop admiring. I used my usual base and top coats: Sally Hansen Double Duty and Mirror Shine.

I've managed to rack up a good few purchases over the Christmas holidays without realising it...so here they are!
Today's nails are courtesy of the OPI's I mentioned in my London haul. On my nails is two coats of Rising Star and on my thumb is the super glittery Bring on the Bling! Really love Rising Star :)

Sorry for the lack of posting, I've been sick over Christmas and also desperately trying to get my hands on a camera for the blog! I have a few lovely things that I was lucky enough to receive for Christmas which I'm finally able to share.
