Sinéad's December Favourites

I cannot believe it is the end of December and the end of 2010 already! That means that it is time for my December favourites! I was thinking about doing a 'Best of 2010' post but I might leave that until the end of January! So, until then, enjoy and have a Happy New Year!

Love,

S.

Body: Issey Miyake L'eau D'Issey Moisturising Body Cream

L'eau D'Issey has been one of my favourite perfumes for years and I recently found this body cream that my boyfriend gave me as part of a set a while ago. It's a really lovely cream for something that is more about the scent than the consistency. And, as with all perfumed body creams, it keeps you smelling better for longer!

Hair: Batiste Dry Shampoo in Fresh

No one wants to wash their hair everyday and, personally, I don't need to. So, to get as long as possible (usually 2-3 days) between washes, I use dry shampoo to stop me looking and feeling dirty! Batiste is one of the cheapest brands of dry shampoo and this new scent, Fresh, is probably the nicest I have found!

Face: Stila Illuminating Tinted Moisturiser

I have never tried Stila products before and when I took a rare trip into the hellhole that is TK MAXX they had a box of Stila products for €12. One of the products was the Kajal liner in Topaz which I will talk about later and it was that liner that I bought the box for. However, a nice little treat came with it in the form of their tinted moisturiser. As I have already said, I don't generally wear a pile of make-up and this product is perfect for days when I need something but not a lot. The consistency is gorgeous, really creamy and smooth and the coverage is medium instead of totally sheer. It also leaves your skin with an amazing glow without looking greasy.

Eyes: MAC Eyeshadows, Glitter and Stila Kajal Liner

As I mentioned above, I bought a box of Stila products to get this one liner in Topaz. MakeupbyTiffanyD on YouTube raves about this liner both for its consistency and colour. It is really creamy and stays put all day and the colour is a flesh-tone that is less harsh than white. The colour that you see at the end of the pencil in that picture is true to life.

The eyeshadows that I have been loving this month are all from MAC and create the perfect, basic eye. They are from L-R: Brule, Cork, Swiss Chocolate and Embark. I use Brule all over the lid and as a highlight, Cork in the crease, Swiss Chocolate also in the crease and Embark in the outer corner. It makes the perfect subtle daytime eye and is extremely fast to do.

As it is Christmas time, MAC's Reflects Glitter in Gold has been a must-have for any party/night looks. Just press it on with a damp brush over dark eyeshadow and it really gives your eyes sparkle and dimension.

Nails: Models Own and Barry M

Keeping with the glitter theme this December, I have been obsessed with Model's Own Juicy Jules. It came free when you bought two other Model's Own products so I bought another nail polish in Purple Mystique and this 6-sided nail file. Which brings me on to my second favourite nail product! This file is amazing if used before you paint your nails. It makes the surface super smooth and shiny and I feel like the polish stays longer. It is, however, too clunky to properly file your nails with.

Barry M Nail Paint in Navy has been on my nails frequently this December. It's such a lovely rich colour for Winter and I have really been impressed with the consistency and how it wears.
