A little haul from my local chemist...

On Saturday evening I braved the cold (it was so freezing my face was sore!) to go down to the shops for a few bits I wanted for going out. Ended up getting a few really nice things! Read on to see what I got...

First up are some false lashes from the Girls Aloud/Eyelure range. I've already tried two of the other styles; the Nicola ones (which made me look like a transvestite) and the Sarah ones (much prettier). This time I opted for the Kimberly Walsh lashes - they're a fairly standard shape with a decent curl, and I can't wait to wear them on Thursday night, snow permitting of course! These cost me €6.49 in the pharmacy.

The next thing I bought had been on my list for absolutely ages - Rimmel Lasting Finish lipstick in Indulgence. The colour is amazing - a really loud, juicy watermelon pink. You can see a swatch of it on the Rimmel website here but to be honest I think that the colour depicted is wildly inaccurate - this lipstick is a lot bolder in real life! I love these lipsticks (this is my fourth one) they're affordable at only €6.55, and have great colour payoff for a drugstore product. I wore this out with Barry M lip gloss in Bubblegum Pink on top and the results earned me plenty of compliments!

I was also in need of a new liquid eyeliner - I've been drooling over the Illamasqua one that Lollipop26 posted about a while back because it dries to a glossy finish. However, my budget won't allow for it at the moment so I settled for the new one from Rimmel which was only €6.52. I've used their Exaggerate liner for years so when I saw a new one, Flash Eyeliner, I was really interested. It's a felt tip liquid eyeliner which I'm not usually a fan of, but the shape of the tip is long and thin which makes it a lot easier to work with. The liner itself is also lovely, extremely black and long-lasting. If I want my liner to look even blacker and stay put for as long as possible I often go over it using Carbon by MAC with an angled brush - this works for the waterline as well.. Overall this liner is fabulous - I had a Lancome felt tip liner a couple of years back, and I have to say that this Rimmel one is twice as good!

Finally, I also needed to pick up a new toner and decided to try the Vichy Normaderm one as I've really being enjoying the moisturiser and face wash from the same range. It was €13 for 200ml (I can't be sure, but I'm guessing this is cheaper than La Roche-Posay) and you don't need to use loads. I really like it so far, it isn't too drying despite being an astringent.
